Technical information may include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;

Information about your visit may include the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time), products you viewed or searched for, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from the page, and any phone number used to call our customer service number or social media handle used to connect with our customer service team.

Location data may include information through the site as to your real time location to provide location services where requested or agreed to by you in order to deliver content, advertising or other services that are dependent on knowing where you are. This information may also be collected in combination with an identifier associated with your device to enable us to recognize your mobile browser or device when you return to the site.

Delivery of location services will involve reference to one or more of the following: (a) the coordinates (latitude/longitude) of your location; (b) look-up of your country of location by reference to your IP address against public sources; and/or (c) your Identifier for Advertisers (IFA) code for your Apple device, or the Android ID for your Android device, or a similar device identifier.

This is information that we receive about you from other sources (including third parties we work closely with) and add it to our account information. We are working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, subcontractors in technical and payment services, advertising networks, analytics providers and search information providers).

Legal bases (or ‘Why we do this’) explained

Consent: We’ll use your personal information to send you promotional or marketing content if you have given us consent to us doing so, where required by law.

You can opt-out of further marketing at any time by selecting the “unsubscribe” link at the end of all our promotional updates and marketing to you, by sending us an email at [email protected].

We also rely on consent for some of the cookies we use (see our Cookies Policy for more detail).

Contract: We collect, store and process your personal information where it is necessary for performing a contract you have with us (such as our Terms and Conditions), or where you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into that contract. Legal Obligation: We may need to process your personal information to comply with our legal obligations, including under applicable local, UK and EU law, and/or any court orders.

Our promotional updates and communications

Where permitted in our legitimate interests (explained below) or with your prior consent if required by law, we may send you marketing and promotional updates about our services, by email and SMS, if you have opted-in to receiving these.

We compare our user list to lists received from other companies, in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our users. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your preferences. You can object to further marketing at any time by checking and updating your contact details within your account, or selecting the “unsubscribe” link at the end of all our marketing and promotional update communications to you, or by sending us an email at [email protected].

Who Do We Share Your Information with

Information about our users is an important part of our business, and we are not in the business of selling it to others. We share user information only as described below and with affiliates of Argo Media that either are subject to this Privacy Notice or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Notice.

Affiliated Businesses: We work closely with affiliated businesses to constantly improve the digital content offered to you.

Third-Party Service Providers: We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include maintaining the mobile app and service, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from user lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

Promotional Offers: Sometimes we send offers to selected groups of users on behalf of other businesses. When we do this, we do not give that business your name and address. If you do not want to receive such offers, please adjust your preferences.

Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our service, we might sell or buy subsidiaries, orbusiness units. In such transactions, user information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Notice (unless, of course, the user consents otherwise). Also, in the unlikely event that Argo Media Inc., or substantially all of its assets are acquired, user information will of course be one of the transferred assets.

Protection of Argo Media and Others: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Argo Media, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. Obviously, however, this does not include selling, renting, sharing, or otherwise disclosing personally identifiable information from users for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Notice.

With Your Consent: Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.

Stripe.com: Credit card transactions are processed using Stripe.com, a secure third party payment processing company. When using your credit card to purchase our service, you may be redirected to their secure third party gateway in the form of an iframe popup. The information you provide for payment will be stored on their secure servers. We do not store any payment information on our servers for your protection.

Where we store your information

FOR OUR HOSTING, AUTHENTICATION, SERVING, STORAGE AND TELECOMMUNICATION NEEDS, ETC., INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION STORAGE OF OUR USERS PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION. ARGO MEDIA SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE, AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY, FOR CULPABLE (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION NEGLIGENT) ACTS OR OMISSIONS BY ITS THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS/VENDORS.

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”) that may not be subject to equivalent Data Protection Law.

Where your information is transferred outside the EEA, we will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is subject to appropriate safeguards, such as relying on a recognized legal adequacy mechanism, and that it is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

We may transfer your personal information outside the EEA:
o In order to store it.
o Where we are legally required to do so.
o In order to facilitate the operation of our group of businesses, where it is in our legitimate interests and we have concluded these are not overridden by your rights.

How We Protect Your Information

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure, and while we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to our Site; any transmissions are at your own risk.

Argo Media operates or leases secure data networks in the United States protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary, and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our Clients. Notwithstanding such measures, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent our computers from being illegally accessed, and the individual information on them stolen or altered.

Your account is protected by a password for your privacy and security. You must prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer or device and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

Our site may, from time to time, contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or the content of such sites.

How Long We Keep your Information

We retain personal data you provide to us for as long as necessary in order to meet our legal obligations to you, and for six years after that to identify any issues and resolve any legal proceedings. We may also retain aggregate information beyond this time for research purposes and to help us develop and improve our services. You cannot be identified from aggregate information retained or used for these purposes.

We will retain personal data collected from you through the use of cookies and related technologies for the duration of your browsing session on the site.

Your Rights

You have the right under certain circumstances:
o to be provided with a copy of your personal information;
o to request the correction or deletion of your personal information (you can delete your account after signing in to Site);
o to request that the restriction the processing of your personal information (while your concerns are investigated or verified, for example);
o to object to the further processing of your personal information; and

The Information Commissioner is the supervisory authority in the UK and can provide further information about your rights and our obligations in relation to your personal data, as well as deal with any complaints that you have about our processing of your personal data.

Changes to This Policy

Any changes that we make to this privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page. If you choose to visit Argo Media, your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Notice and our Terms and Conditions, including limitations on damages, resolution of disputes, and application of the law of the state of California. If you have any concern about privacy, please contact us with a thorough description, and we will try to resolve it. Our business changes constantly, and our Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use will change also. We may e-mail periodic reminders of our notices and conditions, but you should check our website and/or mobile app frequently to see recent changes.

Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Notice applies to all information that we have about you and your account. We stand behind the promises we make, however, and will never materially change our policies and practices to make them less protective of user information collected in the past without the consent of affected users.

What About Cookies?

Cookies are unique identifiers that we transfer to your device to enable our systems to recognize your device and to provide recommendations and personalized advertisements.

Argo’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-datapolicy), including the Limited Use requirements.

Are Children Allowed to Use Argo Media?

Argo Media provides a service for adults. If you are under 18, you may use Argo Media only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian.
